The performance hub for modern athletes

HYBRD is the performance hub for modern athletes. It brings all your training data together by integrating with top wearables and uses AI to make tracking weightlifting easy. This allows athletes to fully understand their training load, track holistic progress over time, and compete with friends in fresh, exciting ways. Existing products tend to focus on only one type of exercise (either cardio or strength), leaving hybrid athletes juggling disconnected tools. As hybrid athletes themselves the founders found this frustrating and set out to build the unified approach they needed for their training. Three of HYBRD’s founders previously worked at WHOOP, each leading teams across product, growth and analytics. Ruiters, the CTO, was a senior tech lead at AWS. In parallel, Mats was a member of the US national rowing team and Ben, Shoe and Ruiters have all completed Ironman 70.3s.

TL;DR

HYBRD is the performance hub for modern athletes. We break down the silos between your cardio, strength and wearable data to give you a complete view of your performance. We’re ex-WHOOP, ex-US national rowing team, triathletes / ultramarathoners and are building the app that we wish existed for us.

After a great invite-only beta with hundreds of paying users, we’ve just launched publicly on the iOS App Store!

The problem

Every workout you do is a puzzle piece in a broader picture of performance. But fitness tracking data is siloed across multiple domains. You might track your running data on a Garmin, your sleep/recovery on WHOOP and your strength training in a spreadsheet.

It works if you’re just a runner or just a lifter.

But more and more people are becoming “hybrid” athletes who focus on strength and cardio, so they’re left stitching together multiple data sources to see the full picture.

Until now.

Solution

First, HYBRD integrates with all leading wearables and data sources. We pull in as much historical data as we can.

Then, we make it really easy to track your weightlifting.

You can use text to input your workout to our AI logger - or, simply upload a picture of your training journal, a whiteboard from a HYROX/CrossFit gym, or a screenshot from an app you already use.

Based on that data, we provide a holistic view of your strength and cardio abilities, normalized for age/gender/weight and give you a single score (analogous to a chess Elo score) that you can compare with your training buddies.

We recently launched a trends feature so you can see all your data from all your data sources over time. And we’re working with one of the best coaches in the country to put together training plans for you (coming soon into the app)

Asks

  1. Try our 7 day free trial! [link to App Store]
  2. Share our app with the most athletic people you know
  3. Join our free weekly workout clubs in San Francisco and Boston (all welcome, contact us at [email protected], and let us know if you want a free Ironman 70.3 or marathon training plan)

Team

Three of our founders previously worked at WHOOP, each of us leading teams across product, growth and analytics. Our CTO, Matt, was a senior technical lead at Amazon AWS

We all are hybrid athletes ourselves - Mats was a member of the US national rowing team and Shoe, Ben and Ruiters have all completed Ironman 70.3s.

Each of us felt underserved by existing fitness apps to the point where we tracked our workouts in Google Sheets, so we decided to build HYBRD.

Shoutout to the HYBRD Workout Club!

What’s your HYBRD score?
