LineWise is building an AI assistant for manufacturing teams to get their production lines back up and running - fast.
We connect siloed factory data (PLCs, maintenance logs, manuals) to triage faults, guide technicians to fixes, and capture every resolution for smarter troubleshooting in the future.

When a line goes down, it can take hours to identify the problem. Engineers and technicians chase PLC logs, flip through outdated manuals, and rely on the one person who “just knows.” While production stalls, tribal knowledge disappears, and the same issues repeat.
LineWise centralizes critical knowledge by integrating siloed data from IoT sensors, maintenance records, and machine manuals. It ranks the most likely causes and guides the team to a fix in just minutes. But the best part? It remembers every issue for next time and advocates for preventative actions.
🔧 Upload an error code image or describe the issue in a message.
🤖 The AI provides a refocused problem statement for confirmation.
📊 The AI dynamically ranks possible hypotheses of causes by probability.
🧠 A human validates each hypothesis to identify the true cause.
🛠️ Resolve the issue by following a step-by-step guide.
🔍 Conduct further investigation to uncover the root cause.
📚 Enrich the knowledge base with insights from the issue and resolution.
LineWise partners with forward-thinking manufacturers to minimize unplanned downtime, empower frontline teams, and unlock the value of siloed data within a company.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to talk.

Zhichu and James met at MIT, where Zhichu was using vision models for lab logging and root-cause analysis in materials discovery and James was pursuing his MBA. James had previously served as an operational consultant at McKinsey, while Wenbo - a mutual friend of Zhichu - worked as a founding engineer at a food inspection startup. Recognizing the pressing need for AI in everyday manufacturing and operations, they joined forces to bring these capabilities to the front line.
